Meditation for Joy, Resilience, & Peace

In this course, you'll learn to use meditation as a tool to focus your attention, process feelings and emotions, and cultivate joy.

Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep, is a form of non-sleep deep rest that has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, enhance emotional intelligence, and improve sleep. After experiencing this form of meditation, participants have reported feeling calm, settled, balanced, grounded, relaxed, and peaceful.

This series is a supportive way to begin or revive a meditation practice and integrate easy-to-implement tools for handling life’s inevitable highs, lows, and everything in between. You’ll challenge old beliefs about who you are and what you can do. By the end of the series, you'll have several effective practices to regulate your energy and emotions.

In addition to a guided meditation, each session contains thought-provoking content, engaging discussions, and time to journal and process the material.

The sessions are live. The content is transformational, and the conversations are inspiring.

If you are looking for great classes to expand and explore your thoughts and actions, I recommend Meditation Meets Action.

At 65 years old, not being tech savvy, I was a bit nervous about taking Zoom classes. Jen made it so easy to get connected and join in. I could do it on my phone. Bonus!

The classes helped me open up unexpectedly to embrace new thoughts and explore new questions and answers, creating a space to rejuvenate myself. I found the classes expertly guided, exceptionally communicated, and engaging. I found value and surprisingly felt very comfortable in small group sessions.

At the end of each class, Jen led a guided meditation that was so relaxing, peaceful, and motivating.

I am so happy I decided to join. I am no longer limited by beliefs that held me captive. I am free to expand, explore possibilities, and grow in new ways. If only I would have found this class years ago! Thank you, Jen. - Martha Meyer

I loved the meditation series. Jen did a wonderful job teaching deep, sometimes challenging, content in a fun and personal way. I appreciate how the course is sequential, adding on a bit more each week. It provided an opportunity to process, implement, and grow each week. Thank you, Jen! - Jen Walcher

While I have benefitted enormously from the movement, balance, and flexibility of the yoga classes I have taken from Jen, the meditation series added a whole new dimension. This deeper dive into meditation added new layers to my thinking and yoga practice. The increased awareness I gain from phases of guided meditation such as identifying and drawing on my inner resources, the easy and natural connections to previous yoga practices of the body sensing phase, and recognizing and appreciating the power of opposites in feelings and emotions has altered my thinking in new and positive ways. - Jan M

💬

The meditation series is a great addition to Jen's offerings. I first experienced nidra as part of her 75-minute flow + guided meditation, but since COVID has descended on our lives I have found that the structure provided by the workshop has been very helpful in quieting monkeys in the brain. When I awake in the middle of the night with vague spectral fears and find it hard to get back to sleep, I merely take a deep breath and work through the nidra paces, and soon am back in slumber. - Mark Clarke

💬

I loved these sessions for a number of reasons. IRest is evidenced based and in the course, Jen takes you through specific concrete steps each week in order to work towards finding and connecting to your innermost desires and sense of purpose. She ended each week with a lovely iRest Nidra practice that left me feeling relaxed, peaceful, and with a sense of gratitude, even in these difficult times. I found my sleep improved and anxiety decreased. I felt I could access more hope and sense of possibility.

With the many resources Jen gave us, I have found I am able to find a more consistent practice. Jen’s knowledge, content, teaching style, and recorded practices give you all of the tools needed to access a meditation practice. Best of all, Jen’s ability to share all of these tools with a kind, giving, and authentic presence is what makes this course so valuable to me. I highly recommend this series, especially if you have had difficulty maintaining a meditation practice. - Julie Wojcicki

💬

Jen has a gift for sharing the principles of yoga (nidra) and making them easy to understand and apply in day-to-day life when they are most needed. This course feels like a weekly journey inward, to connect with and amplify that inner voice. I really noticed the lasting effects of this beautiful practice. The benefits have shown up for me in everyday life, especially in emotionally charged situations.

The yoga nidra series provided me with a deep sense of calm & clarity, a toolbox full of tools to help me return to my inner resource, despite external circumstances. It also provided a weekly dose of self-love and self-care that helped me better show up in life for myself and for others. Yoga nidra is the most medicinal form of yoga I have ever practiced. - Sarah

💬

Jen delivers outstanding online courses in a professional and intimate way. She has a way of getting past the screen and engaging with her students in a way that feels comfortable and real. Her passion and knowledge of the material she teaches show. I highly recommend working with Jen! - Christine Carr

💬

I started taking yoga nidra 10 years ago with a yoga teacher whom I truly loved. I was exploring what strategies I could find to help me reduce my stress. My experience was one of total relaxation, calm, and restoration. My teacher left town and was I ever left with a void...both in restorative yoga and yoga nidra. A few years ago, by chance (nothing is ever by chance :), I started taking yoga at a new studio. I specifically looked for a yoga teacher who understood yoga from a restorative, healthy, and injury recovery perspective. Jen popped up on my list of potential classes. Her background as a PT was so very beneficial for me because of my back and knee problems. Jen helped modify my yoga routine as I attended her live classes. Then Jen started offering yoga nidra classes. What a gift! My gratitude to you, Jen, for your compassionate teaching and listening. Your work has made a huge difference for me, especially during this pandemic time of stress and perceived separation. - Lynn H

The Yoga Nidra series with Jen has been a highlight of my every Friday. As a yoga teacher myself, I was not new to meditation but the iRest method had something different to offer. Jen breaks the course into stages, allowing you to get familiar with each part and put it into practice there and then. Plus you can also practice throughout the week, in your own time with the recording provided after each session. Her soothing voice, patient approach, and friendly manner is one of a kind. She’s a truly humble and wonderful teacher to spend your time with.

I loved having these 2 hours every week to catch up with the group, even if only virtually. Being able to compare experiences, thoughts, and everything in between was really valuable. Regardless of your age and experience, you will find your spot in the group. Plus even a different time zone is not a problem. I was joining everyone at 4:30 PM from London, UK. Being a busy mum of two, self-care is a must. Not just bubble baths and face masks but a quality time to stop, pause and allow myself to just be still. To breathe, to let my body and brain fully relax.

Even if you’re not into meditation (yet 😉), having a legitimate reason to have a 20-minute nap during your day is truly transformative. It’s not called a yogic sleep without a reason after all! Without any childcare in place, my children got to watch a film in return for my alone time. Win, win!

Give yourself the gift of simply being here and now, without any expectations or judgment. And see what happens. Thank you, Jen. Truly grateful. - Madeleine Kordon

As a busy mom, it's hard to slow down and take "me time". This was the perfect opportunity to do just that - take intentional time to care for my own needs through this workshop/yoga nidra practice with Jen. This practice helped my body get out of a stressed-out and anxious state into a place of calm. This alone was enough for this stressed-out mom! BUT the benefits of the practice didn't stop there! Feel more and think less...taught me to give more attention to sensation than mental energy and story. This has helped me in my everyday life when I am anxious or want to overthink things. I've gone through this workshop twice and each time I got something new out of it. This last time I went through it, I became more aware of my inner critic and negative beliefs about myself, and how these beliefs and inner critic were holding me back. I am so grateful for the insight this practice has given me about myself, to grow in awareness to make changes. Plus, I really love learning from Jen. Great voice to listen to and such a relatable and caring guide. - Andrea
